Opus Puppilus Diablo. ("Opie" for short.) The Devil Dog.

Veni, vidi, urinati.

Tessy, Opie's Mom, with our litle guy close by.
A pup in the hand is worth his weight in gold!.This is one of Opie's siblings (note the pink nose), Opie would have been even smaller!
Saucy little dude!
Prancing in the sunshine the morning after arriving at his new home.
Opie takes a short breather from puppily frolic, blissfully unaware of the imminent arrival of Diesel - another neighborhood pup.
A pocketful of puppy.

We found Opie almost by mistake. My Bride, surfing the web, clicked on an old link she had saved, and suddenly she landed on Dinky Dogs . What she found there was this little guy... and upon showing his pictures to me from Sandy's site, I took an immediate liking to him.

Juli and I, after some discussion with Sandy, decided to take a drive out to Ohio to see how the incumbent pups felt about him,,, so on April 16th 2005 we set out on a day-trip to Ohio.

Max and Cocoa got along great with him, he was sooo precious in person, so we figured "what the hell!" and he came back here with us. Because he hasn't been with us long (as of this writing), there's not much I can say about him - he has a wonderful litle personality, he's very loving, but he's still so small that he basically sits and stares at things... tryingto figure out who he his, why he's here, and where he's going.

Sounds a lot like me, on further reflection...

Opie was immediately curious about Miss M. He won't be riding for awhile, however.

The Opster on the Midway at the carnival, Gaithersburg Maryland.
Saucy little dude!

Me, Monterey (the bear) and Opus at Fat Tuesday's, enjoying some cold brewskies.

Opus Puppilus at the Dog Wash in Philly. I expected him to go bonkers when we dunked him, but he was the sweetest, mellowist little pup you'd ever imagine. Not a whimper, cry, or any sign of distress. A stout heart indeed!

Something our little guy does very well - sleep. Normally he's running a mile a minute, but when that little puppy switch flips, it's Game Over.
Opie's half-birthday, July 16th 2005. I had to go pick Juli up from the UFDC Convention in Philly, so I brought the Opster along while Max and Cocoa guarded the house back home. Here's Opus in Philadelphia, enjoying some tasty pulled pork and brisket with Juli and I at Tommy Gunn's.
...and he SNORES!!! Really - he snores louder than any dog I've ever known: these huge rumbling bellows all out-of-proprtion to his size. It's awesome to behold!
"Whatt're YOU lookin' at, Mac?!"
